Mathematics Concentration

The mathematics concentration requires a minimum of 8 mathematics courses (32 credits). Students may transfer a maximum of four of these courses (16 credits) from other institutions. Completion in this concentration requires a grade of C or higher in all mathematics courses.

Students must complete 32 credits as follows:

A. Required Mathematics Courses: All of the Following Seven Courses: 28 Credits

MA 2010 - Foundations of Mathematics I Credits: 4
MA 3020 - Foundations of Mathematics II Credits: 4
MA 2310 - Calculus & Analytic Geometry I Credits: 4
MA 2320 - Calculus & Analytic Geometry II Credits: 4
MA 3030 - Discrete Mathematics Credits: 4
MA 3160 - Linear Algebra Credits: 4
MA 3210 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics Credits: 4

B. Required Elective: One Upper Division Mathematics Course: 4 Credits

Take any one 3000 or 4000 level mathematicscourse: MA3xxx OR MA4xxx.
