AS 3800 - Writing for Media

The course combines instruction in the craft of journalism and teaches students to write accurately and clearly and to meet deadlines. The basics of good reporting whether for print, broadcast, or internet journalism are stressed, including how to gather and verify information, where to look for stories, how to interview, how to use sources, and how to report in a fair and balanced manner. Students will write about and cover a variety of news events and issues.
