Athletic Training
Stony Brook University: Master of Science (MS) in Athletic Training
Under this agreement, up to four (4) SUNY Old Westbury graduates each year will receive guaranteed admission to the Stony Brook program if they meet the criteria for admission. Learn more information about the Master of Science (MS) in Athletic Training program.
Healthcare Administration
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University: Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)
Students from SUNY Old Westbury who meet the admissions criteria for the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree program as listed on the SUNY Downstate School of Public Health website at the time of application will be given priority consideration for admission. Medical Informatics
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University: Master of Science (MS) in Medical Informatics
Up to five (5) students per year from SUNY Old Westbury who meet the admissions criteria for the Medical Informatics (MS) program listed on the admissions website for the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University will be given early consideration and decision to the Medical Informatics (MS) program. Nursing
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University: Accelerated Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing
Up to fifteen (15) qualified graduates from SUNY Old Westbury per year who meet eligibility requirements of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing program and have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.3 will be offered admission to the SUNY Downstate College of Nursing Accelerated BS degree in Nursing program. Osteopathic Medicine
New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM): BS/DO 3+4 Program (Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry to Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
This program allows select high school graduates to enter SUNY Old Westbury’s BS/DO Program as first- year students where they can earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree in only 7 years. Students spend the first 3 years at SUNY Old Westbury working towards their undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences or Biochemistry. If they meet the criteria, they will be granted admission. New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM): BS/DO 4+4 Early Interview Program (Osteopathic Medicine)

Physical Therapy
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
Up to five (5) students per year from SUNY Old Westbury who meet the admission criteria for the Physical Therapy program listed on the admissions SUNY Downstate Medical Center website will be given early consideration to the Physical Therapy program. Podiatric Medicine
New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM): BS/DPM 3+4 Program (Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences to Doctor of Podiatric Medicine)
This program allows select high school graduates to enter SUNY Old Westbury’s BS/DPM Program as first-year students where they can earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) Degree in only 7 years. Students spend the first 3 years at SUNY Old Westbury working towards their undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. If they meet the criteria, they will be granted admission into NYCPM’s podiatric school for the next 4 years to complete DPM degree. New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM): BS/DPM 4+4 Early Interview Program (Podiatric Medicine)
This program allows SUNY Old Westbury students who meet certain minimum requirements to be granted early interviews for NYCPM’s podiatric medical school which can increase their chances of admission.
Pre-Health Professions Advising
SUNY Old Westbury has established a solid record of successfully preparing students for admission into some of the nation’s best medical and health professional schools, and many of the college’s graduates are now practicing physicians, dentists and other health care professionals. Students interested in pre-medical and pre-health professional studies are strongly urged to consult the pre-health professions advisor as soon as a decision is reached to pursue a health care profession. Be sure to reach out to our pre health care professions advisor about these various programs.
