ED 7332 - Teaching Writing in Adolescence


Credits: 3

Description This course provides an overview of writing instruction in adolescent education, drawing on research to inform instructional practice. Areas of emphasis include the writing process, creative writing, assessing writing, the editing process, content-area writing, and organizing writing classrooms. Students analyze how adolescent learners develop as writers, and engage with and respond to text. Fifteen hours of fieldwork is required.

Prerequisites: ED 7300  and ED 7301 .
