VA 2000 - Introduction to Art

Studio course designed to introduce first-year students to exercises that challenge their assumptions of the creative process. This course will begin to provide students with the basic visual and verbal vocabulary to proceed to the next level in the Visual Arts curriculum. The exercises will be completed using both, the fundamentals of basic art techniques such as drawing, painting, modeling and fabricating, and references from contemporary art currents.
