AS 4283 - America Between the World Wars

This course examines pivotal decades in twentieth century U.S. history from WW I through WW II. Selected topics include the Great Depression and the New Deal, the rise of America’s administrative and welfare state; transitions in social reform traditions; women and youth cultures; the expansion of consumer culture; and the World Wars and their effects on American society, culture, and global position.

AS 2122  or permission of instructor; EMS
