MH 6120 - Psychopathology Credits: 3
Description This course is designed to address the etiology and classification of psychiatric illness and emotional disorders. Organized around the principle of reciprocal determinism this course examines the interaction among biological, psychological and environmental factors in the development of psychopathological behavior. The multi-axial approach of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) is taught as well as a more developmental approach to diagnosis.
Prerequisites: (Prereqs: Baccalaureate degree in Psychology or other relevant field)
