MH 6510 - Assessment Techniques in Counseling

This course covers interview techniques directed at the acquisition of data to allow diagnosis and treatment planning. Candidates are taught how to conduct mental status exams. There is a focus on the integration of psychological tests into patient assessments and treatment plans. Special attention is paid to level of care assessments and the assessment of suicide potential and other violent behavior.
