ED 6093 - Literacy, Research, & Technology in English Language Arts Credits: 3
Description In this course, teacher candidates will develop an understanding of the language and literacy development of middle and high school students, as well as the role of cultural and linguistic diversity in literacy learning. The major sources of research, theory, and issues and trends that influence the content and pedagogy of English Language Arts will be investigated and the integration of reading, writing, speaking, listening, technology, and a wide range of media to enhance instruction will be explored. The course includes field experience in the secondary schools. Fieldwork under supervision.
Prerequisites: Prerequisites for all courses: ED 6000 , ED 6001 , and appropriate discipline specific methodology course (ED 6082 ED 6086 )
