AS 6420 - Advanced Cinematography

Description In this course, students will master the fundamentals of cinematography, explore the art of visual storytelling and learn advanced techniques for field and studio lighting and sound recording. Classes will consist of hands-on demonstrations, collaboratively produced camera exercises, critiques of student dailies and independent production work, as well as online coursework. During the semester, students will work to pre-produce, film raw footage and create a final select reel for a short documentary project to be completed in the AS 6430 Advanced Editing class.
