BU 7133 - Healthcare Financial Analysis and Decision Makin

Description This course provides practical and theoretical foundations in financial planning and decision-making as applied to healthcare organizations. Students will develop an understanding of the financial environment specific to the healthcare sector and learn quantitative techniques essential to financial management. Topics include analysis of the health care financial environment, cost allocation, short-term financial planning, long-term financing, and capital investment decisions, with particular attention to incorporating risk into organizational decision-making. The course combines text-based instruction with real-world examples and applied exercises that focus on current financial issues in the healthcare industry.

Prerequisites: Graduate status; BU 6510 or equivalent
