ED 7004 - Assessment, Evaluation & Instruction of Students with Exceptionalities Credits: 3
Description This course will provide candidates with knowledge of the theories and application of assessment. Emphasis will be placed on PreK-12th grade classroom assessment, evaluation and instructional practices consistent with the New York State Learning Standards. Methods will include performance assessments, instructional rubrics, student portfolios and exhibitions, and standardized tests. Teacher candidates will demonstrate how assessment will be used to improve student performance and teaching practices within various PreK-12 situations. There is a 15-hour field component is required for this course.
